Problem

Challenges in the Hemp and Cannabis Ecosystem in India

  • Hemp and cannabis in India is held back by irregularities in perception, legal status, and information dissemination.
  • These inconsistencies lead to confusion and misinformation between the departments that can hamper the decision making process.
  • Every hemp business owner/ trader is aware of problems in their line of work hence the proposed solution only meet long/short term goals of the business
  • For arriving to the correct collective solutions a unified framework is missing that decides the SOP that can be implemented on scale keeping in mind the Indian context for Hemp and Cannabis

Solution

Proposed Solutions for Advancing the Hemp and Cannabis Ecosystem in India

  • Recognizing these challenges, we have created our own dedicated network of individuals, who are not into sale of hemp/ cannabis products but are experts in their specific domains.
  • We bring to you researchers, agronomists, scientists, manufacturers, brand owners, experts and educationist who understand hemp and its complexities.
  • We utlise this collective knowledge to build policy framework and infrastructure thatt keeps in mind the interest of the state, while protecting the plant’s landrace.
  • IHAC Network operates within its own autonomous collective ecosystem, ensuring each stakeholder remains connected, informed, and empowered, free from external biases and constraints. It is open to both Indian pioneers and international participants for greater peer evaluation of the framework.

Members and Supporters of IHACN are not mere participants; they are integral to the growth and success of Indian hemp and cannabis industry.
